We attended the Federal Trade Commission’s Proof Positive: New Directions in ID Authentication Workshop, April 23rd and 24th. 2007.
The workshop explored the role of authentication processes in preventing identity theft. It provided a forum for discussion among public sector, private sector, and consumer representatives about better ways to authenticate the identities of individuals. The workshop focused on technological and policy requirements for developing better authentication processes, including the incorporation of privacy standards and consideration of consumer usability.
