Payment Pathways, Inc. (PPI) has developed patent-pending business processes that put banks back into the transaction business. The Greenlist®, a directory published by PPI, lists safe public payment addresses. The Greenlist elegantly solves the online identity problem. No layered security scheme is required to protect the private payment identities of consumers and businesses alike.
Our mission is to lead our industry in the development and delivery of standard systems that provide informational self-determination and transform asset transfers.
Our inventions redirect a major portion of card processing fees back to the true participants in the transaction: participating banks, the merchant, and the consumer. At far lower costs. By enabling consumer use of online banking for online purchases, for example, merchants stand to gain substantial savings on each transaction. And the bank gains transaction revenue currently unavailable.
We charge a small monthly fee per enrollee in the Greenlist. We rent licenses to banks to enroll their customers in the Greenlist. We also make a transaction royalty on Greenlist-routed bank authorized transactions. With millions of prospective enrollees and hundreds of millions (or more) of transactions annually, ours is a compelling story.
Payment Pathways, Inc. is committed to active participation in industry associations and standards organizations. We believe that banks are in the best position to protect the conficentiality of their customers’ financial information. Whenever other entities get involved, private identifiers are needlessly replicated — and that’s when problems can occur. By strictly adhering to today’s banking standards for risk management, we avoid letting in any potential systemic vulnerabililty.
We intend to present the Greenlist as a standard that is neutrally positioned among all traditional and emerging payment systems.
Founded in July, 2003, Payment Pathways, Inc. is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, and is a privately funded Delaware C corporation.
Our management team has deep experience in information and communications technology — particularly in database synchronization, security, payment processing, and Internet commerce. Our track records include founding and managing successful payment companies, selling emerging technologies and entire companies. Our venture includes bank customers and payment processing partners. We are guided by an advisory board comprised of deeply experienced individuals with complementary backgrounds.
The company strives to bring together potential partners with the common goal of creating a new payment paradigm that builds upon the existing infrastructure and relationships between banks and their customers.
We fund the sales, marketing, and directory operations for the company by selling consulting services and licenses for banks and their proxies to become registrars to the Greenlist.
